Overview
This Thunderbolt� 3 (40Gbps) cable lets you connect
to any Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C�) port to deliver video and
data to your Thunderbolt and USB devices. Plus, the
cable can provide power for charging your devices.
Faster data transfers when connected to Thunderbolt
devices
This cable supports data transfer rates of 40Gbps
when connected to a Thunderbolt 3 device, so you can
transfer photo and video files at four times the speed
of a USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) cable. For example, you can
transfer a 4K movie in seconds.
USB-C compatible
You can also use the Thunderbolt 3 cable to
charge and sync your USB 2.0, USB-C mobile devices.
Full 5K video or dual 4K video
The cable supports up to 5K 60Hz video for
astonishing resolution, contrast, and color depth with a
Thunderbolt monitor. It can also be used with a
Thunderbolt 3 dock to drive dual 4K displays.
This cable does not support native DisplayPort 1.2.
You cannot connect your Thunderbolt 3 laptop directly to
a DisplayPort monitor using this Thunderbolt 3 cable.
